Distinguished Alumni Award

The Distinguished Alumni Award is the highest award presented by the Monmouth University Alumni Association to alumni who have distinguished themselves by contributions made in their own particular fields of work, professional or personal, or in the betterment of humanity. The Distinguished Alumni Award was established in 1983. The recipients of the award are an inspiration to the next generation of graduates and to the community at large.

Outstanding Alumni Service Award

Established in 2019, the Outstanding Alumni Service Award is bestowed upon a Monmouth University graduate whose work to better the University community embodies the passion and courage of the greater alumni body. Recipients must demonstrate unwavering commitment and dedication to Monmouth by way of their exceptional leadership, volunteerism, generosity, and/or advocacy.

Note: Prior to 2019, Monmouth University bestowed two separate but similar awards—the Volunteer of the Year Award (est. 1995) and the Alumni Service Award (est. 1994)—which have been combined and renamed to give more recognition to our most service-oriented alumni.

Recent Alumni of the Year Award

The Recent Alumni of the Year Award is bestowed upon a Monmouth University alumnus who graduated within the past 15 years and has already demonstrated a high level of professional success or made a significant impact on society. The award was established in 2019 to better recognize the accomplishments of recent Monmouth graduates, and to inspire current and future alumni in this category to strive for professional and personal achievement that positively represents the University.
