Monmouth University recognizes that each transfer student brings unique and vibrant experiences that contribute to our student body. Understanding that transfers come from a rich variety of backgrounds, we strive to create flexible orientation programs that fit your needs and schedule.
New Transfer Student Orientation consists of two phases. First, students will complete The Transfer Hawk Landing, our online pre-orientation. During the second phase, students attend an expedited on-campus orientation designed to help them meet members of the University community.
Online Pre-Orientation
The Transfer Hawk Landing, our online pre-orientation, provides accessible and convenient resources to aid our students’ transition into Monmouth University. The Transfer Hawk Landing facilitates a seamless transition into the University, helping you develop the knowledge and skills necessary for success at your own pace. Taking advantage of our online pre-orientation helps prevent “information overload” at our on-campus program and provides a helpful reference to look back on when needed. Most importantly, completing these modules in advance allows you to focus on forming relationships with peers, faculty, and administration at the on-campus orientation.
On-Campus Orientation
We understand that most of our transfer students have already attended an orientation. That’s why we designed a practical and concise on-campus program to get you the information you need to succeed quickly. On-campus orientation will ease your transition into Monmouth University by introducing vital aspects of your day-to-day experience. Most importantly, New Transfer Student Orientation focuses on providing you the opportunity to form connections and network with members of our community. New transfer will meet faculty from their academic department, new and returning students, and support service administrators. New students may RSVP for on-campus orientation through the Transfer Portal after they have placed their enrollment deposit.
