What is it?
An email message containing a list of held messages with links to manage these held messages. Take action
by selecting links in the email, described below in How to Use the Daily Digest.
How do I access it?
You will receive a Daily Digest email from Monmouth Postmaster (postmaster@monmouth.edu)
with a list of held messages. Note: You will only receive a Digest email if and when you have messages being held.
How to Use the Daily Digest:
- The Daily Digest will arrive in your Inbox from Monmouth Postmaster postmaster@monmouth.edu with the subject line You have new held messages:
- You will see directly under each individual held message the following linked options: Release, Permit, Block. These options apply for that message only.
- Release: Selecting this link will deliver the message to your inbox as long as it passes security checks
- Permit: Selecting this link will deliver the message to your inbox as long as it passes security checks and then
adds the sender to your personal permitted senders list - Block: Selecting this link will not deliver the message to your inbox and the sender is added to your personal
blocked senders list
- You will also see the following linked options at the top and bottom of the digest email message: Release all, Permit All, Block All. Note that choosing any of these options will release, permit or block all future emails from all the senders currently listed as held in that particular digest email. Use this with caution.
- You have 14 days to act on the message before it expires.
- Refer to this table to help guide you on which option to select for each held message in the digest.
