- Our central goal currently is to work on a solar panel deck encompassing the main campus parking lot.
- Advantages include precipitation protection of cars and students, prevention of pavement overheating, avoiding large amounts of runoff in drains, and of course a large sum of renewable energy.
Solar-Paneled Buildings on Campus
The following list includes buildings where our solar-panels are already in place:
- Edison Science Building
- Elmwood Hall
- Facilities Management
- James and Marlene Howard Hall
- Plangere Center for Communication
- OceanFirst Bank Center
- Rebecca Stafford Student Center
- Robert E. McAllan Hall
- Samuel E. and Mollie Bey Hall
- Samuel Hays Magill Commons
- William T. Boylan Gymnasium and Richard E. Steadman Natatorium
We hope to be able to place a solar panel deck over the parking lot at the southern area of the campus.
Audit
We hope to add an audit section soon to display data of our energy savings annually. Our CO2 reduction goals will be posted accordingly!
