Professor McKitrick is a specialist in the history of Modern Germany, 20th century Europe, and the French Revolution. He is the author of “An Unexpected Path to Modernisation: The Case of German Artisans during the Second World War,” which appeared in the Journal of Contemporary European History, 1996.
