Members of the 2024 Student Scholarship Committee representing each of Monmouth University’s Schools selected approximately 10 posters per school to represent the diversity, range and quality of research and scholarship done by our students. These posters will remain on display throughout the week.

Highlighting student research, providing an opportunity for students across the university to think about research and how it improves our respective fields, and to recognize and appreciate the work of student peers. Viewers will have an opportunity to vote for the best presentation in several categories.
School of Humanities and Social Sciences – Art & Design – The Future is Collaborative
All Day | 600 Courtyard
The Department of Art & Design, ArtNow, and The Center for Entrepreneurship funded and supervised a mural project. MU student artists (individuals and teams) submitted proposals for murals on the theme “The Future is Collaborative” which were evaluated by a faculty review committee. Five murals were selected and completed.
School of Humanities and Social Sciences – Department of Criminal Justice – Senior Seminar Poster Presentations

Students from the Department of Criminal Justice taking Senior Seminar will present their original research projects during a poster presentation event. Each student has developed a research methodology to test hypotheses related to research questions of their interest and will present the results of their analyses.

School of Humanities and Social Sciences – Communication – Progress, Promise, or Prejudice? Exploring Gender and Race Representation in Popular Culture

In this panel discussion, students in CO383: Gender, Race, and Media will draw on contemporary media texts such as commercials, print ads, and tv shows to explore the ways in which content creators and decision makers have, and have not, met the challenge of creating new narratives, and new ways of seeing, that move us beyond media representations that perpetuate a long history of gender and racial stereotypes in popular culture texts.
