Angello Villarreal, adjunct professor in World Languages and Ed.D. candidate, and graduate student Adrian Castro, a Spanish teacher at Long Branch High School, organized a new Spanish debate competition at Long Branch High School in May.
The friendly competition was between students in the AP Spanish class and ESL students for whom Spanish is a native language. The event focused on empowering students’ diversity, inclusion, and appreciation of language skills.
