The School of Education recently published the newest edition of its annual magazine, “The Educator.” This is the fifth edition of the publication and highlights the success of new social justice initiatives as well as the School’s response to shifting needs in education, such as immersive virtual learning and simulated teaching experiences.
“I’m almost as proud of ‘The Educator’ as all the accomplishments described on its pages,” said John Henning, dean of the School of Education. “Those accomplishments are a testimony to the energy and commitment of the School of Education faculty and staff. They reflect the School of Education’s continued effort to expand on our diversity work through the Social Justice Academy and the Holmes Scholars programs; raise awareness about the environment through Sustainability Education Week; and pioneer the innovative use of technology through the educational simulations found in the mursion software. These are but a few examples of the School of Education’s work as described in ‘The Educator’.”
