Stanton Green, Ph.D., professor emeritus of Anthropology, was the lead author of the article, “Archaeology as a Public Good,” in the April 2021 issue of “Archaeologies: Journal of the World Archaeological Congress” with Claudia Green, an independent archaeologist based in West Long Branch, NJ, and Joseph Schuldenrein of Geoarchaeological Associates, NY, who also served as co-editors of the special issue.
In addition to “Archaeology as a Public Good,” the volume includes “Recreating and Protecting Southeast Ireland’s Cultural and Environmental Heritage,” by Green, S., Schuldenrein, J., Green, C. et al., and articles by distinguished researchers from the U.S., Canada, Ireland, and Australia, who provide case examples of how archaeology can serve as a doorway to a culture’s heritage, and improve a community’s quality of life.
