Ken Womack, Ph.D., professor of English and Popular Music, will present his multimedia, interactive lecture, “Sir George Martin and the Beatles’ Abbey Road Medley,” at the Middletown Township Public Library on Thursday, July 14.
The in-person lecture will take place in the Community Room of the library from 7-8:30 p.m. The presentation is a free event that requires registration.
Through rare clips and video, Womack will trace the story of George Martin’s production of the “Abbey Road” medley and demonstrate the ways in which Martin and the band assembled the component parts of the spectacular song cycle that concluded the group’s artist fusion.
