Richard Veit, Ph.D., professor of anthropology and associate dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, will speak about recent excavations of the Bonaparte family’s Point Breeze Estate in Bordentown City at an event hosted by the Mercer County Library System. The virtual presentation will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. Participants must register for the event.
Remnants of a mansion belonging to Napoleon’s brother, Joseph Bonaprte, were recently uncovered at the Point Breeze Estate, providing “a unique glimpse of the lifestyles of the rich and famous in 19th Century New Jersey.”
