Golam Mathbor, Ph.D., professor in the School of Social Work, was named the Best Outstanding Educator of the Year at the 2022 Arthakantha Business Excellence Awards, this past December.
Dr. Dipu Moni, education minister of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, presented Mathbor with the award and served as the chief guest of the event hosted by “Arthakantha,” a weekly business magazine in Bangladesh. The publication also celebrated its 23rd anniversary at the event.
Mathbor was recognized for his global contribution as an educator of social work, including serving as president of the American Institute of Bangladesh Studies, as a member of the Council of American Overseas Research Centers.
