The interactive virtual reality (VR) experience, “Inviting Motion,” has been accepted as a demo for the IEEE CTSoc Gaming, Entertainment and Media (IEEE GEM) conference, which will take place June 5-7, in Turin, Italy.
The project was developed by Wobbe F. Koning, MFA, associate professor of animation, during his spring 2023 sabbatical at the Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design (ACCAD) at The Ohio State University.
A beta version of the project was shown at the ACCAD open house in 2023, and the experience was presented at Monmouth University during an Art Now event in the Fall of 2023. A one page abstract describing the piece will be published in the conference proceedings.
