Annemarie Dowling-Castronovo, Ph.D., professor and chair of the Department of Nursing, was recently inducted into the National Academies of Practice as a distinguished fellow in the Nursing Academy.
In order to be nominated, the individual should have an exemplary career of 10 years or more and be committed to interprofessional practice and accessible, affordable healthcare for all. Applicants are judged by distinguished peers who have made significant and enduring contributions in their profession.
“Dr. Annemarie Dowling-Castronovo disseminates excellence in gerontological care through practice, teaching, and scholarship. As a gerontological nurse practitioner, she translates evidence-based practice to diverse interprofessional learners across settings and educational levels,” the National Academies of Practice said of Dowling-Castronovo.
The National Academies of Practice is an alliance of professionals, in 15 different academies, collaborating to transform health and well-being.
