President Leahy Recognized as Influencer in Higher Education by ROI-NJ

Monmouth University President Patrick F. Leahy has been named to ROI-NJ’s Influencers: Higher Education 2022 list. The list highlights university leaders in New Jersey who have spearheaded meaningful improvements to their institution in the past year. According to ROI-NJ, presidents selected for the list represent schools that “graduate some of the top students in the country, many of whom will have global impact. Just as important, they will teach first-generation graduates that will have local impact of equal measure.”

Leahy was recognized for impactful hirings—including Pamela Scott-Johnson, provost and senior vice president of academic affairs, and Raj Devasagayam, dean of the Leon Hess Business School—who contribute to Monmouth’s strategic plan by enhancing academic programming and student success. ROI-NJ also lauded Monmouth’s recent transition to a new athletic conference, the Colonial Athletic Association, an initiative led by Leahy.

This is the third time Leahy has been recognized as an influencer in higher education by ROI-NJ. Each year, the publication selects leaders who positively impact the future of business throughout the state across 14 individual categories. See the full list of 2022 selectees.
