Monmouth University President Patrick F. Leahy was recently named to the ROI Influencers Power 2025: Higher Education list. This acknowledgement honors leaders who demonstrate outstanding achievements, strategic vision, and significant impact on their respective industries and communities.
Leahy was recognized by ROI for recently securing $750,000 in federal funding for the Urban Coast Institute, one of the University’s Centers of Distinction.
Under his leadership, Leahy also launched the $175 million comprehensive campaign, Excellence. Access. Ambition.—the most ambitious fundraising effort in Monmouth’s 91-year history.
He additionally spearheaded the development of a new 30,000 square, $45 million building, which will house the Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music, related exhibition galleries, and a 230-seat, state-of-the-art theater, and introduced a partnership with Hackensack Meridian Health, including the sponsored expansion of the health and fitness facilities in the OceanFirst Bank Center, enhancing wellness resources for the campus community.
