Patrick Murray, director of the Monmouth University Polling Institute, was recently named to the NJBIZ Power 100 List for the fifth time. The annual list recognizes men and women who are “creating New Jersey’s future.”
Under Murray, “the institute has grown into one of the most cited and respected in the business—with Murray regularly serving as a trusted voice and expert—especially during these crazy times.” The Polling Institute was recently named one of the top survey research organizations in the country by FiveThrityEight, ranking No. 5 out of 539 organizations and earning high marks for its “accuracy and transparency.” With the upcoming presidential election, NJBIZ expects Murray’s work to be in the “national spotlight.”
As the founding director of the Monmouth University Polling Institute, which launched in 2005, Murray frequently appears as a commentator on national and regional TV and radio, including appearances on various programs at CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, PBS, and NPR. In the institute’s home state, Murray has appeared on numerous power lists of the most influential people in New Jersey politics.
The 2024 NJBIZ Power 100 List also recognized Christopher Maher, CEO of OceanFirst Bank and chair of the Board of Trustees at Monmouth University, for his work and connections to the state and national economy, particularly along the New Jersey shore.
