The Monmouth University Next Generation Science club hosted Allied Health and Sciences High School on Jan. 9 in the University’s state-of-the-art atrium science research facility. Monmouth research students demonstrated tissue culture techniques including cell maintenance, counting, staining, and solution preparation to prepare the high school students for collegiate-level research.
Committed to mentoring and collaborating with future science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) students, the science club interacted with Allied Health students throughout the program. The club, which also encourages research and networking among STEM professionals in addition to students, is guided by the motto “See one, learn one, teach one.”
