Golam Mathbor, interim dean and professor in the School of Social Work, recently presented at the virtual conference “Global Summit on Social Innovation, Education and Sustainability.”
In his speech, Mathbor provided an overview of strategic management and effective leadership in higher education, examined the major challenges in higher education, and shared recommended best practice strategies in the changing contexts.
He additionally discussed resource allocation, inclusion, and transparency of information, and touched on topics including the admission process, tuition and fees, scholarships, and administrative and financial information.
The two-day international conference focused on the interrelation of social innovation and sustainable development within education and was hosted by Jadavpaur University and Central University of Kerala, India, and was attend by 600 academics from various regions.
