Blue Hawk Records Hosts Annual Benefit Concert on Jan. 16

Monmouth University’s student-run record label Blue Hawk Records will host Blue Hawk Boardwalk Jam, the annual benefit concert part of Light of Day WinterFest 2025, at Azure at the Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel on Jan. 16, at 7 p.m.

This year’s lineup features current Monmouth students and alumni artists, Amani Lillian, Abby Garcia, Michael Anthony Rocks, Samatha Jordan, Joleen Amer, Corine Rose, Samantha Spano, Ballistic Berry, and The Blue Hawk House Band, along with special guests.

Garcia will also host the event alongside Joe Rapolla ’90M, specialist professor and chair of the Department of Music and Theatre Arts, and Zack Sandler ’20, producer/digital media at Danny Clinch Photography.

“We love supporting the Light of Day Foundation while showcasing phenomenal performances and event production talent of Monmouth students and alumni at this international music festival,” said Rapolla.

Admission is free, courtesy of event sponsors the Leon Hess Business School and the Wayne D. McMurray School of Humanities & Social Sciences.

The Light of Day foundation utilizes music to raise money and awareness to end Parkinson’s disease, PSP, and ALS. The foundation’s mission is to fund research into possible cures, improved treatments, and support for patients, families, and caregivers. The annual concerts have raised over $5.75 million since 2000 and include previous performers and artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Michael J. Fox, John Rzeznik of the Goo Goo Dolls, and other New Jersey musicians.
