Monmouth University’s Department of Music and Theatre Arts and the Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music will host, “An Evening With Santelli & Clinch,” on Monday, Nov. 18 at the Transparent Clinch Gallery in Asbury Park.
The event will feature a conversation with Bob Santelli ’73 ’14HN, executive director of the Archives, and Danny Clinch, acclaimed photographer, filmmaker, and co-founder of Sea.Hear.Now Festival.
The program will include discussion on the rich history of Asbury Park’s music scene, sharing insights from their over 40-year careers, personal anecdotes, and reflections on the area’s cultural evolution, as well as highlight some of the developments at the Archives and showcase exclusive photos by Clinch.
Joe Rapolla ’90M, chair of the music and theatre arts department and Music Industry program director, will moderate the event, which will also feature a performance by Amani Lillian, a student artist on the University’s student-run record label, Blue Hawk Records.
“This event highlights the achievements of Bob Santelli and Danny Clinch and also celebrates the transformative power of music and community. We’re excited to work with the Bruce Springsteen Archive and Center for American Music to bring together students and the community to honor Asbury Park’s legacy,” said Rapolla.
