Student Veterans Association

The Student Veterans Association (SVA), founded on Dec. 16, 2009, is a Student Government Association (SGA) sponsored club at Monmouth open to ALL students who have a military affiliation or appreciation to our service members.

SVA strives to connect fellow veterans transitioning from military service to academic & campus life through various events throughout the semester. The annual Chili Cook-off, camping trips, and visiting the NJ Vietnam Veterans Memorial and Museum are just a few of the activities the club has hosted over the years. All student are encouraged and welcome to join SVA!

Each year, Student Veterans of America hosts a National Conference to provide student veterans access to leading employers, prominent speakers, and best practices for growing their SVA chapter.

In 2024, Monmouth sent nine students to attend the 16th Annual SVA National Conference held in Nashville, Tennessee.
