To be considered for admission, students must submit an application to Monmouth University along with a $60 application fee, and provide the following:
- Possession of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum 3.0 overall GPA.
- Two completed Monmouth University Professional Counseling Recommendation Forms found in the online application. Recommenders should be within the last 5 years. Applicants within one year of completing their bachelor’s degree should include at least one academic reference.
- Narrative (four to five pages, double spaced) in response to the questions outlined on the Admission Application Essay Form.
- Participation in an evaluative group interview.
Applicants are reviewed for admission in a holistic manner reviewing their readiness to become a professional counselor, which extends beyond academics to factors including disposition, maturity, and intention for the profession.
