Additional Program Initiatives

Additional Program Initiatives

In addition to a comprehensive program taught by experienced and accomplished faculty members, our program also includes specific initiatives designed to give graduate students comprehensive learning experiences:

Supplemental College and Career Readiness Program (SCCRP)

Jackson Township School District has specifically partnered with Monmouth University’s Educational Counseling program (EDC), to provide the opportunity for a paid internship experience for some of the program’s counseling interns. In addition to this ongoing paid internship opportunity, these graduate student interns of the Educational Counseling program will also receive additional professional development trainings and experiences to better prepare them as future school counselors. In this capacity, these counseling interns assist with the Supplemental College and Career Readiness Program to support the Jackson  district through an academic mentoring program with the goal of increasing the numbers of low-income, first-generation students graduating from high school. Through this, the EDC interns acquire important skills which make them better prepared as future school counselors.
