    It’s just like book club but with albums! With new advances in technology, the way we consume music through our devices, apps and on demand streaming services like Pandora, Spotify and iTunes is making the idea of the “album” as an art form extinct. Get together with other music enthusiasts on Tuesday nights to discuss some of the greatest records of all-time! Listen to the album beforehand and then come prepared to discuss. This event will feature Joe Jackson, Look Sharp!

    We are still waiting for more information about whether we will be able to hold this event in-person. However, we are also committed to continuing offering access virtually to Tuesday Night Record Club for all our new audiences! You can register now for Zoom access to the event.   • Virtual Living Room Concert Series – Stay Safe, Stay at Home – Volume 4

    Monmouth University Center for the Arts is proud to present the fourth installment of our Virtual Living Room Concert Series – Stay Safe, Stay at Home featuring some of your favorite singers, songwriters, poets and musicians from the Jersey Shore and beyond!

    The concert will premiere on the Center for the Arts YouTube channel here: https://youtu.be/wAza7NBF4HA on May 7, 2021 at 8 PM with a live chat from some of the performers and will be available to stream on the channel anytime afterward.

    This living room concert features: Steve Forbert and Tom Parr ’85; Lucy Kaplansky; Pat Guadagno;  Anthony Nunziata; Joe D’Urso and John Gorka.

    The concert is directed by Monmouth University Alumnus Tom Parr ’85 and sponsored in part by Riptide records.

MU Players presents THE WEDDING SINGER

    It’s 1985, and rock star wannabe, Robbie Hart, is New Jersey’s favorite wedding singer. He’s the life of the party until his own fiancée leaves him at the altar. Shot through the heart, Robbie makes every wedding as disastrous as his own. Enter Julia, a winsome waitress who wins his affection. As luck would have it, Julia is about to be married to a Wall Street shark, and, unless Robbie can pull off the performance of a decade, the girl of his dreams will be gone forever.

    MU Players Productions, formally known as Boom Roasted Productions, was founded in 2013. MU Players is Monmouth University’s student run theatre club that strives to bring theatre, arts, entertainment, and unity to our campus. The club has opened its arms to many loving and talented students on our campus and continues to grow each year.

  • Ani DiFranco – Revolutionary Love Live

    Celebrate the release of Ani’s 22nd studio album ‘Revolutionary Love’ with a full concert from Ani, Terence Higgins, and special guest Ivan Neville.
