Met Music Director James Levine conducts Mozart’s barbed romance Così fan tutte, a comic masterpiece about the romantic complications that ensue when a pair of friends decide to test their fiancée’s fidelity. Lesley Koenig’s sleek production features a cast filled with rising Met stars, including Susanna Phillips and Isabel Leonard as the sisters Fiordiligi and Dorabella; Matthew Polenzani and Rodion Pogossov as their fiancés, Ferrando and Guglielmo; and Danielle de Niese as their feisty maid Despina. Maurizio Muraro is the cynical Don Alfonso.
This event will include a tour of the sculpture on campus including the new J. Seward Johnson pieces and the Michael Malpass Retrospective in Pollak Gallery. There will also be a screening of the new documentary about Michael Malpass titled “Michael Malpass – A Great Circle” created by Monmouth University Communication Students under the direction of Erin Fleming, Director of Production Services. The documentary will be screened in Pollak Theatre at 4:00 PM and the guided tour immediately follow at 4:45. Free and open to the public but RSVP required. To RSVP please call 732.263.5715

With his #1 debut album, #1 single “Stitches”, & now second Pop Radio hit “I Know What You Did Last Summer” extending his momentum at into the new year, Island Records recording artist Shawn Mendes has announced his Shawn Mendes World Tour, opening across Europe with 11 dates in April-May, and then arriving in North America with 26 dates starting on July 15th at Mizner Amphitheater in Boca Raton FL, through the August 21st homecoming date at Air Canada Center in Toronto (Please see full list of dates below). Preceding these shows, Shawn will play his biggest New York City concert to date, headlining Radio City Music Hall on Saturday, March 5th, which sold-out in under 5 minutes when tickets went on-sale this past fall. Please note due to a power outage the opening reception is CANCELLED. Lucy Kalian’s work is “unapologetically representational”. In the exhibit, Swells and Soundings she explores the tidal forces at work where land and water meet. Opening Reception: September 30, 6:30 to 8:30pm
