After performing on Broadway as a member of both Beatlemania & Rain, Glen Burtnik and bandmates Bob Burger, John Merjave & Dave Anthony have created a new theater production. The evening promises to be a night of all things Beatles & beyond. The Weeklings will be joined by their friends The Barefoot Strings, Maxximum Horns with a special appearance by Max Weinberg. Together, they will perform the best and greatest songs of The Beatles, as well as The Weeklings performing their own Beatle-inspired songs.

Tickets on sale Friday, July 24. Verdi’s masterful Otello matches Shakespeare’s play in tragic intensity. Director Bartlett Sher probes the Moor’s dramatic downfall with an outstanding cast: tenor Aleksandrs Antonenko plays the doomed Otello; new soprano star Sonya Yoncheva sings Desdemona, Otello’s innocent wife and victim; and baritone Željko Lučić plays the evil Iago, who masterminds Otello’s demise. Dynamic maestro Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts.

Soprano Anna Netrebko’s dramatic and vocal skills are on full display in her next new role at the Met—Leonora, the Verdi heroine who sacrifices her own life for the love of the gypsy troubadour. Tenor Yonghoon Lee sings the ill-fated Manrico, baritone Dmitri Hvorostovsky is his rival, and mezzo-soprano Dolora Zajick is the mysterious gypsy with the troubled past. Marco Armiliato conducts Sir David McVicar’s Goya-inspired production.

A Marvelous Night: The Music of Van Morrison

New Jersey’s favorite entertainers take the stage to share the music of Van Morrison with their friends. Legendary front man Rob Paparozzi (Original Blues Brothers Band, Blood Sweat ‘n Tears) and Master Song Stylist Pat Guadagno (BobFest, The Candle
Brothers) will lead an all-star band on a musical journey through the lifework of one of
the most influential and unusual artists of our time. Last year’s capacity crowd was mesmerized by an eclectic selection of Morrison’s mystical compositions, performed by an ensemble of Jersey musical nobility that included Pam McCoy, Steven Delopoulos (Burlap to Cashmere) Irish Tenor Steve Reilly, Michael Ghegan (Michael Jackson Cirque de Soleil), John Korba, (Hall & Oates, Phoebe Snow, Roseanne Cash) Tom Labella, Joe Bellia & Jillian Reyes McCoy (Jon Bon Jovi’s Kings of Suburbia). Bolshoi Ballet: Giselle

The young peasant girl Giselle dies when she learns that the man she loves, Albrecht, has betrayed her. Against her own will, she joins the wilis, vengeful spirits who now turn against Albrecht and condemn him to dance until he dies of exhaustion. This treasure of romantic ballet is one of the oldest and greatest in classical repertoire, touching upon the great romantic themes: a doomed love affair ending in tragedy, a dive into fantasy and ultimate redemption through the power of love. The Bolshoi is renowned for its intimate and emotionally intense interpretation of this beloved drama.
