Pollak Gallery

Presented in partnership with Autism Speaks New Jersey, this juried exhibition opening at the beginning of Autism Awareness Month will showcase the talents and abilities of artists living with Autism Spectrum Disorder and initiate a conversation about the unique power of art in the autism community. Each piece of work will be for sale and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Autism Speaks. The opening reception will be presented in conjunction with the Bravo Amici benefit concert for Autism Speaks on April 2

Light it up Blue

Each April 2nd, Autism Speaks celebrates the start of its signature campaign, Light It Up Blue ,
along with the international autism community in recognition of UN sanctioned World Autism
Awareness Day and April, World Autism Month . Thousands of iconic landmarks and buildings join the hundreds of thousands of homes and communities around the world to “light
blue” in support of people living with autism. Monmouth University will be joining the campaign lighting dramatically lighting up the Monmouth Library and Wilson Hall for the entire month of April.

Blue Hawk Records: Album Release show

Residential Quad

Blue Hawk Records, Monmouth University’s student-run record label, will be releasing its 10th studio record featuring students from Monmouth University. The showcase will be free and held at the Resident Quad.

Exploration and Discovery – Dance

Join us for an exploratory evening of dance featuring choreography developed and created by students in the Spring 2017 Choreography class. Additional works by members of the Department of Music and Theater will also be showcased.

If you like Carousel, the King and I, Oklahoma, The Sound of Music, South Pacific, and other Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein favorites, you will want to attend this musical tribute. Monmouth University’s renowned Concert and Chamber Choirs and featured soloists are guaranteed to put a spring in your step and have you whistling some of America’s greatest Broadway Musical tunes.

Music Major, will be performing her Senior Recital in Wilson Hall on Friday, April 21 at 7:30 pm. She will be featured on voice. Admission is free; light refreshments will be served.

Music Major, will be performing her Senior Recital in Woods Theatre on Saturday, April 22 at 1 pm. She will be featured on Woodwinds, Brass, Voice and Piano. Admission is free; light refreshments will be served.

Anna Netrebko reprises one of her most acclaimed roles as Tatiana, the naïve heroine of Tchaikovsky’s opera, adapted from Pushkin’s classic novel.
