Aging in America: Portraits and Commentary, is an exhibition of portraits by Janet Boltax comprised of individuals who are 90 plus years old, along with excerpts of interviews with them. The interviews focus on interesting facets of their lives and how they are adapting to the process of aging. Opening Reception: April 15, 6-8 pm

Acclaimed playwright Tom Stoppard (Shakespeare in Love, Arcadia, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead) returns to the National Theatre with his highly-anticipated new play The Hard Problem, directed by Nicholas Hytner (Othello, Hamlet, One Man, Two Guvnors).
Women Waging the Way is an event dedicated to empowering, educating, and supporting women, men, girls, and boys. The event will involve musical and theatrical performances, an exhibition of fine art, and a silent auction of the exhibited art. The net profit will be donated to Women and Girls Education International, a 501 (c) 3 organization that is dedicated to empowering individuals through education.
The photo exhibit features 38 framed images spanning Sinatra’s boyhood days in Hoboken to his final performances in the 1990s. Included are rare and classic images from inside Sinatra’s Capitol Studios recording sessions, at home, at New Jersey’s Rustic Cabin roadhouse, on the road with the Hoboken Four, the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, and, of course, Sinatra’s solo career. Photographers include Ken Veeder, Sid Avery, and the legendary Herman Leonard, among others.

As part of this celebration, Monmouth University in partnership with the GRAMMY MUSEUM will be hosting a day long Sinatra Centennial symposium. Guitar, multi instrumental and vocal virtuoso NILS LOFGREN joined Neil Young’s band at the age of 17. He used that credential to land his own band Grin, a record deal in 1971. His solo career began in 1975 which spawned a string of mid-70’s rock radio hits, “Back It Up”, “Keith Don’t Go” and his biggest, “I Came to Dance”. In 1984 he joined Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band for the massive Born in the USA tour and has been with them ever since.
