Shawn Mendes – SOLD OUT

With his #1 debut album, #1 single “Stitches”, & now second Pop Radio hit “I Know What You Did Last Summer” extending his momentum at into the new year, Island Records recording artist Shawn Mendes has announced his Shawn Mendes World Tour, opening across Europe with 11 dates in April-May, and then arriving in North America with 26 dates starting on July 15th at Mizner Amphitheater in Boca Raton FL, through the August 21st homecoming date at Air Canada Center in Toronto (Please see full list of dates below). Preceding these shows, Shawn will play his biggest New York City concert to date, headlining Radio City Music Hall on Saturday, March 5th, which sold-out in under 5 minutes when tickets went on-sale this past fall. Art Walk and Michael Malpass Film Screening

This event will include a tour of the sculpture on campus including the new J. Seward Johnson pieces and the Michael Malpass Retrospective in Pollak Gallery. There will also be a screening of the new documentary about Michael Malpass titled “Michael Malpass – A Great Circle” created by Monmouth University Communication Students under the direction of Erin Fleming, Director of Production Services.

Made up of women from both sides of the 1994 Rwandan genocide, Rwanda’s first and only all women’s drum troupe, Ingoma Nshya, offers a place of support, healing and reconciliation. When the group decides to partner with two young American entrepreneurs to open Rwanda’s first ever ice cream shop, these remarkable women embark on a journey of independence, peace and possibility. SWEET DREAMS interweaves heart-wrenching stories of tragedy with powerful examples of hope and resilience to present a moving portrait of a country in transition. There will be a Q&A with Co-Directors Lisa Fruchtman and Rob Fruchtman following the screening.

William Close and the Earth Harp Collective

William Close and the Earth Harp Collective recently pushed the boundaries of the “performance experience” when they finished third on NBC’s hit show “America’s Got Talent.” The group received massive praise and admiration from fans and all three judges. William Close is an installation artist and musician who has developed over 100 new types of musical instruments. He is the inventor of the majestic stringed instrument, The Earth Harp, the world’s largest stringed instrument.
