In celebration of Bruce Springsteen’s 65th birthday, Friends of The Bruce Springsteen Special Collection and Monmouth University will host this special evening of films celebrating Bruce Springsteen. Thom Zimny has served as Bruce Springsteen’s film/video archivist and collaborator since 2001.For this unique celebratory evening, Zimny plans to “dig deep” into Bruce Springsteen’s personal, official film/video archives, presenting all of his selections with high-quality visuals and sound on the big screen using Pollak Theatre’s state-of-the-art projection system. Monmouth University and the Long Branch Arts Council invite you to a series of workshops in poetry, lyrical essay, and translation of poetry; readings by acclaimed writers; lunch & discussion, and a reading by registered participants.
Jennifer Weingarten, a Music Education Major, will be performing her senior recital on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 7:00 PM in the Lauren K. Woods Theater. She will be featured on voice, piano, and clarinet. Admission is free; light refreshments will be served.
Connor Healey, Music major, will be performing his Senior Recital at Unity by the Shore – 3508 Asbury Avenue Neptune, NJ 07753 – on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. He will be featured on the double bass. Admission is free; light refreshments will be served.”
Women Waging the Way is an event dedicated to empowering, educating, and supporting women, men, girls, and boys. The event will involve musical and theatrical performances, an exhibition of fine art, and a silent auction of the exhibited art. The net profit will be donated to Women and Girls Education International, a 501 (c) 3 organization that is dedicated to empowering individuals through education.
