The MU Chamber Orchestra, comprised of students, faculty, staff, and administrators, performs a variety of compositions from the classical repertory. This spring concert also features music for chamber ensembles from within the orchestra-solos, duos, trios, quintets.
Feel inspired and touched as artists produce a dance worth trending. Discover many forms of dance in collaboration with Student Scholarship Week. Artists from the spring dance classes and dance teams of our Monmouth University will present their understanding of the diverse world of dancing. It’s just like book club but with albums! With new advances in technology, the way we consume music through our devices, apps and on demand streaming services like Pandora, Spotify and iTunes is making the idea of the “album” as an art form extinct. Get together with other music enthusiasts on Tuesday nights to discuss some of the greatest records of all-time! Listen to the album beforehand and then come prepared to discuss… there will be special guest moderators and panelists at each event! This event will feature Bruce Springsteen’s Tunnel of Love.
An exhibit of drawings on napkins and new works by Vincent DiMattio. DiMattio earned his MFA from Southern Illinois University and his BFA from Massachusetts College of Art. He joined Monmouth University’s faculty in 1968 where he served as the department chair for 13 years and as gallery director for more than 20 years. He has shown his work internationally in Madrid, Spain; San Juan, Puerto Rico and Pueblo, Mexico. He has also exhibited throughout the United States, and at both the Newark and Trenton Museums.
