Very few ballets can properly depict the Bolshoi’s overflowing energy and fiery passion as can Alexei Ratmansky’s captivating revival of Vasily Vainonen’s The Flames of Paris. With powerful virtuosity and some of the most stunning pas de deux, the Bolshoi Ballet displays an exuberance almost too enormous for the Moscow stage.

Road is the new generation of Irish music and dance. RRTD is a breathtaking display of classic Irish tunes accented by rock ‘n’ roll riffs, electrifying dancers and a dynamic light show. Enjoy the thrilling sights and sounds as daring performers execute rapid-fire leaps, twirls and footwork, and nimble fiddlers square off with driving electric guitar chords and pulse-pounding drum beats. Coppélia

Swanhilda notices her fiancé Franz is infatuated with the beautiful Coppélia who sits reading on her balcony each day. Nearly breaking up the two sweethearts, Coppélia is not what she seems and Swanhilda decides to teach Franz a lesson…

The Bolshoi’s unique version of Coppélia exhibits a fascinating reconstruction of the original 19th century choreography of this ebullient comedy involving a feisty heroine, a boyish fiancé with a wandering eye, and an old dollmaker. The company’s stunning corps de ballet shines in the divertissements and famous “dance of the hours,” and its principals abound in youthful energy and irresistible humor in this effervescent production.

A season 8 finalist on America’s Got Talent, Catapult captivates audiences with its shadow dancing and the ability of the troupe’s dancers to transform their bodies into seemingly impossible images. Not only is the show packed with hundreds of shape transformations, but it is full of humor, emotion and engaging stories. The Catapult dancers work behind a screen to create dancing shadow silhouettes of shapes from the natural and built world. Be amazed as you watch their bodies transform into a mountain, an elephant, a dragon, even a helicopter!

Created by Director Amit Shah and featuring the AATMA Performing Arts dance company, Mystic India: The World Tour is an internationally acclaimed Bollywood dance spectacular based on the concept of ancient India’s transition into modern India. The colorful costumes and elaborate sets have been custom designed by Amit Shahand handmade in India’s film capital by a team of 40 designers and workers over the course of four years. The team of diverse, impeccably trained dancers from the AATMA Performing Arts dance company combines authentic Indian and modern techniques bringing the streets Mumbai and New York into perfect harmony.

Bridgman|Packer Dance will present Voyeur, their highly acclaimed work that received a 2017 New York Dance and Performance Award (The Bessies). Featuring choreographer/performers Art Bridgman and Myrna Packer’s innovative work in “Video Partnering”—the integration of live performance and video technology— Voyeur is inspired by artist Edward Hopper’s world of color, light, perspective, and under-the-surface eroticism. Fragmented moments of private lives are witnessed through windows and doorways. As the performers merge and collide with the video imagery, the presence of a seen or unseen viewer lies at the heart of Voyeur. Voyeur will be paired with other work from Bridgman|Packer Dance’s repertory.
Art Bridgman and Myrna Packer, collaborators in choreography and performance and Co-Artistic Directors of Bridgman|Packer Dance, are known for their work integrating live performance and video technology. They were awarded a 2017 New York and Performance Award for Outstanding Production (The Bessies). In New York City they have been presented by Lincoln Center, City Center’s Fall for Dance Festival, 92nd Street Y Harkness Dance Festival, Dance Theater Workshop (now New York Live Arts), Central Park Summerstage, Baryshnikov Arts Center, and The Sheen Center.
