Research Interests

Research interests include Rhetoric and Composition; Feminist Rhetorics; Women in the History of Rhetoric; Conservative/Traditional Women’s Rhetorics; Eighteenth and Nineteenth-Century Women’s History and Literature; Historical Fiction; Historical Mystery; and Gothic Romance.

Forthcoming

“Marie Thérèse Remembers,” Alternate Endings: A Short Story Anthology of Historical What Ifs (HWF Books, 2022).

In addition to her first publication, Prof. Turchyn is currently working on her first novel, a gothic mystery set in Jacksonian America.
