Research Interests
Dr. Lee’s research concentrates on studying the relation between executive compensation and firm risk-taking or firm risk environment. His research sheds light on whether firms continuously alter CEO compensation contracts to minimize CEOs’ sub-optimal behaviors, how firm risk environment affects CEO compensation design, and how CEO stock option compensation affects the firms’ risk-taking. His current research interest involves analyzing the firms’ risk disclosures utilizing textual analysis techniques and studying how firm risk factors, executive compensation, and firm performance are interrelated.
