The personalized education and faculty-student relationships that develop while in the Department of Psychology extend long after a student graduates from Monmouth University. We continue to follow and celebrate the successes of our graduates. With our emphasis on helping majors develop employable skills that are in high demand through our research training, internships, and other coursework, our graduates are experiencing success in their chosen careers.

Alumni Professional Mentoring Program
As part of the Department of Psychology’s broader initiative of enhancing networking between current students and our ever growing family of successful graduates, the Department, under the direction of Dr. Lisa Dinella, has created the Alumni Professional Mentoring Program. Through this program, our psychology students can network with alumni to gain insights into potential career paths. Started in Fall 2012, the Mentoring Program has now paired 81 current students with over 25 alumni. These alumni mentors represent a variety of fields, including human resources, school psychology, addictions counseling, pharmaceutical clinical research trials, psychiatry, and marriage/family therapy.
Students reflect on the value of the alumni mentoring program
I absolutely love Monmouth University and have found a home within the Psychology Department. Thank you for providing me the skills, strength, and confidence to proudly enter the working field. I cannot thank you enough for all you have done for me.
