Monmouth University Summer Music Camp

July 21-25, 2025

Monmouth University’s Summer Music Camp provides an immersive music experience for beginner, intermediate, and advanced high school instrumentalists or vocalists. For five days, campers experience life as a Monmouth University music student through taking:

  • Group Lessons
  • Sectional Rehearsals
  • Workshops
  • Masterclasses
  • Ensembles (small groups in various styles and concert band)  
  • Classes (Music Theory, Ear Training, Composition/Arranging, Improvisation, Jazz History)

All campers will receive a t-shirt at the beginning of camp and a certificate of completion at the end!

The Summer Music Camp will conclude with a final concert in Pollak Theatre at 3:30 p.m. All parents/guardians and family are welcome to attend.

Tuition Remission Application

Campers in need of financial support can apply for tuition remission (all costs fully covered). Please click the link above to submit an application prior to camp registration. Applications must be submitted by June 15, 2025. Campers will be notified if an application request has been accepted. Tuition Remission is provided in partnership by the generous support of the Instrumental Opportunity Foundation.

Sample Camp Day Overview (8 a.m.–5 p.m.)

  • 8 a.m.–8:45 a.m. Breakfast for on-campus students (dining hall)
  • 9 a.m.–9:45 a.m. Group lessons/sectionals (Rotate throughout week)
  • 10 a.m.–10:45 a.m. Ear Training, Theory, Improvisation Class (Rotate throughout week).
  • 11 a.m.–12 p.m. Large Ensemble Rehearsal
  • 12:15 p.m.–1 p.m. Lunch for all campers (dining hall)
  • 1:15 p.m.–2:15 p.m. Masterclass, Group Improvisation Workshop (Rotate throughout week)
  • 2:30 p.m.–3:45 p.m. Small Ensemble
  • 4 p.m.–5 p.m. Large Ensemble
  • 5 p.m. Student pickup
