Students in the Department of Communication are encouraged to participate in student organizations as a way to gain additional hands-on experience in their major or minor, to help build their resume and portfolios, and to network and build community. Our organizations are open to students beginning in their freshman year and include students in all years of their education—including graduate students. We often have students who participate in multiple organizations because they see the value in how those experiences connect with their professional and personal goals.
