Monmouth University’s chemistry programs prepare students for a broad range of careers by offering strong preparation in synthetic and analytical chemistry, small classes for enhanced learning and one-on-one interaction with professors, and opportunities to participate in research and other applied learning activities.

The Advanced Chemistry concentration is an extended curriculum that provides a career-level foundation in all of the traditional subject areas of chemistry.

Biochemistry is a rapidly growing field that appeals to students interested in both chemistry and biology. The Biochemistry concentration combines the core chemistry program with biology and biochemistry courses.

By specializing in laboratory science, you will learn to operate sophisticated instruments and use biochemical, microscopic, molecular, and immunological techniques to analyze medical specimens.

The Minor in Chemistry is designed to ensure that students complete a well-rounded distribution of coursework so that they can explore and deepen their knowledge of all of the foundation areas of chemistry.

Students who choose the Minor in Physics have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the foundations of physics and its applications in other fields.
