Employer Engagement Plan

There are a variety of ways to help your organization stand out and gain the attention of our students.

We welcome employers to participate in events, either in-person or virtually, in order to build their brand and recruit our students. Key offerings include:

Handshake

We now manage our job postings and recruiting activities through the Handshake platform and invite all potential employers to establish an account by registering on Handshake. Once approved you will have access to post jobs, request on-campus interview dates, view Monmouth student profiles, contact active students and register for events such as Career Fairs.

Career Fairs

Monmouth University Career Development sponsors a number of career fairs throughout the year that allow your organization to meet with a large volume students and alumni in a large setting.

On-Campus Interviews

Consider organizing On-Campus or Virtual Interviews through the Handshake platform to streamline the process and meet more students annually.

Interactive Presentations, Speakers for Campus Organizations, & Coffee Chats

Host an interactive presentation aimed at highlighting your company or any skills that are necessary for students to succeed. Explore topics like personal branding, networking, DEI, or call in alumni team members to share their career paths.

Many student groups seek speakers for their meetings. Monmouth University Career Development can assist you in connecting with the appropriate audience for your organization.

Offer informal 1:1 Coffee Chats to share information on opportunities and company culture with interested students.

Employer Visits

Host students, individually or in groups, at your company for the day! Allow them the opportunity to tour the location, meet with employees to learn more about specific job functions, and gain further insight into the company’s recruiting process.

Intern for a Day

A great opportunity for employers to immerse students into the daily workings of an organization by having professionals guide them individually through a “day in the life” at the office.

Career Trek

Employment exploration trips providing groups of students the opportunity to visit top employers to experience various career paths and network with professionals and alumni in a variety of industries.
