Virtual Financial Aid Zoom session

At Monmouth University, we believe in making our high-quality education accessible to as many students as possible. Monmouth Promise is designed for high-achieving New Jersey high school students who would benefit from additional financial assistance to attend Monmouth.

Monmouth Promise provides significant financial assistance to eligible students and is awarded after other federal, state, and institutional grants and scholarships. In combination with Pell, TAG and the Federal Direct Subsidized Loan ($3,500 in the first year), Monmouth Promise will cover the cost of tuition and fees (for 2024-25 $46,752).

How does the Monmouth Promise work?

Students are automatically considered for Monmouth Promise upon admission, and submission of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Students who qualify for Monmouth Promise will be awarded grants that, combined with federal and state Pell and TAG grants, will cover full tuition and fees minus the Subsidized Direct Federal Loan of $3,500 in the first year. *
