ROCKIN’ & REGISTERING AT MONMOUTH UNIVERSITY

Hawk TV, Monmouth University’s student-run television station, is hosting Rock and Register on Friday, September 28, from 2 to 4:30 p.m. on the patio in front of the Rebecca Stafford Student Center at Monmouth University. Rock and Register promotes voter registration on campus.

The event will be live on WMCX 88.9 FM and recorded to air on Hawk TV, seen on campus Channel 12. Performers Amanda Duncan, Justin Angle, and Monmouth’s own first-year student Natalie Zeller are scheduled to perform acoustic acts. Monmouth County Clerk M. Claire French will be interviewed live on Hawk TV and WMCX. The event will also feature a debate on clean energy policy and panel discussions on hot topics and controversies surrounding the upcoming election.

Classic American refreshments, including hot dogs and apple pie, will be offered to event attendees. In addition, Hawk TV will be collecting donations to benefit the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

The event is co-sponsored by WMCX, the Political Science Club, and The Outlook.
