Monmouth University is hosting a timely and important program titled "Dunes, More Dunes, and Dough" on May 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon in Wilson Hall. Panelists will discuss topics impacting the Jersey Shore, including who should pay for beach dunes and renourishment and the legal aspects and the public policy issues of how best to protect properties along the shore in the most cost-efficient manner. Speakers include former Chief Justice James R. Zazzali; Peter Wegener, Esq. (representing property owners); Larry Shapiro, Esq. (representing municipal interests); David Apy, Esq. from the Jersey Shore Partnership; Mayor of Long Beach Township Joe Mancini; Assemblyman David Wolfe; and Dave Rosenblatt from the New Jersey DEP.
The event is sponsored by Monmouth University's Kislak Real Estate Institute and Urban Coast Institute.
