Kat and Jeremy have completed their twelve-month hospital internships and earned their B.S. in Medical Technology from Monmouth University.
Kat is now employed at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch as a Microbiology Technologist. Jeremy is employed as a Medical Technologist at Central Jersey Blood Center in Eatontown.
Students majoring in Medical Technology at Monmouth University complete 96 credits of collegiate work prescribed by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences and complete a one-year training period in an affiliated NAACLS-approved hospital. Monmouth University has affiliation agreements with Jersey Shore University Medical Center (Neptune), and Monmouth Medical Center (Long Branch).
During the clinical internship, students rotate through hospital departments gaining practical experience in the current state-of-the-art tests and procedures of chemistry, hematology, immunology, and microbiology.
