Dr. Michaeline Skiba and Dr. David Paul received a Best Paper Award in the Human Resource Management in Health Care Track of the Business and Health Administration Association’s (BHAA’s) 2012 conference in Chicago, Illinois. The paper’s title was “Has Gender Equity Improved? An Examination of the Challenges Faced by Professional Women in Leadership.” Drs. Skiba and Paul are professors in the Leon Hess Business School at Monmouth University.
The BHAA is one of 12 professional groups with over 700 active members that comprise the MBAA International. These organizations represent a variety of disciplines including: accounting; economics; finance; health administration; information systems; business, society, and government; international business; legal studies; management; marketing; operations management; entrepreneurship; and case studies.
In addition, Dr. Paul also received a Best Paper Award in the Health Care Marketing Track for his paper, “Perceptions of New Jersey Physicians Regarding Medical Malpractice Insurance and the Impact of these Perceptions on Access to and Delivery of Medical Care in the State.”
