V-DAY 2012 AT MONMOUTH UNIVERSITY ON MARCH 6

Monmouth University will participate in V-Day 2012 and present a production of Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues on March 6 at 7:30 p.m. in Pollak Theatre. All proceeds from the event will be donated to 180-Turning Lives Around, Making Daughters Safe Again, and the Spotlight Charity: Women and Girls of Haiti. Tickets are $5 in advance or $7 at the door. V-Day is a global activist movement to end violence against women and girls designed to raise funds and awareness through benefit productions of Playwright/Founder Eve Ensler’s award winning play The Vagina Monologues and other artistic works. For more information, visit www.vday.org.

Student directors are Sarah Clemency and Maria Kohut. Cast includes Monmouth University students Zoe Bulitt, Alexandra Phillips, Tess LeFara, Jewell Huffman, Lori Mueller, Brooke McCarthy, Taylor Bogan, and Jacklyn Kouefati. In addition, Monmouth University professors in the cast include Nancy Mezey, Melissa Dale, Johanna Foster, and Katherine Parkin.
