    Acclaimed author of the novel Long Division and the essay collection How to Slowly Kill Yourself and Others in America, and an Associate Professor at Vassar College who has spoken and written widely on issues of race, hip-hop, feminism, violence, and the south.

    Career Planning in the Humanities - Dr. Heather Brown

    Dr. Brown has a PhD from the University of Maryland and taught in the Monmouth English Department from 2010-2013. In 2015 she became a Certified Professional Coach and now lives in Chicago, where she works as a career transition coach, instructional designer, and digital humanities consultant.
