Student Conduct Off Campus

When students make the decision to live off-campus, we hope and expect that they will make every effort to seamlessly fit into their new neighborhood. However, there are some common off-campus issues that come up every year. This may include:

  • excessive noise;
  • property maintenance issues;
  • roommate concerns;
  • complaints from neighbors;
  • tenant/landlord issues and/or
  • minor violations of local laws or ordinances.

When complaints or allegations of off-campus student misconduct are brought to the University’s attention, OCCS will meet with the student(s) to identify strategies for preventing any further community or neighbor complaints. More serious issues may include intervention on the part of the Office of Judicial Affairs.
