About:

After earning his doctorate in clinical psychology, Dr. Cohen completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation Psychology at University of Michigan Health System’s Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.  He then moved to New Jersey where he has worked as a neuropsychologist and rehabilitation psychologist at the JFK Center for Head Injuries and Children’s Specialized Hospital’s Cognitive Rehabilitation program.  Dr. Cohen currently works as a neuropsychologist and rehabilitation psychologist at Lifespan Neuropsychology Rehabilitation Services, a private practice group in Neptune and Lakewood, NJ.  As part of his responsibilities in the group practice, he provides outpatient neuropsychological assessment, counseling, and cognitive rehabilitation.  He also provides assessment and treatment to patients at Shore Rehabilitation Institute, the inpatient rehabilitation unit of Ocean Medical Center.

Research Interests:

Academic performance of college students with ADHD / Learning Disorders; non-neurological factors affecting neuropsychological assessment (e.g. anxiety, depression, mindset, culture); neuropsychological assessment of neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g. autism spectrum disorder); psychological adjustment of individuals and their families after brain injury
