Skip Carey, MA, LPC, Director of Disability Services for Students (DDS), assists students who have physical, psychological/psychiatric, medical, or learning disabilities with self-advocacy on campus, and coordinates all campus housing requests and accommodations. Skip also represents the DDS on numerous University committees, and responds to questions regarding ADA/504 requirements, compliance issues, and academic accommodations at Monmouth University. (The Director of the Office of Equity and Diversity can also address these questions.)
Carolyn Chirichello, M.S., Assistant Director and Learning Disability Specialist, acts as a liaison between students, professors, and administrators, and assists students with a wide variety of disabilities, including learning disabilities, AD/HD, autism spectrum disorders, and traumatic brain injuries. In addition, Carolyn also assists with the development of self-advocacy and effective study and time management skills.
Erin Kenney, MSW, Disability Specialist and Adaptive Test Center Coordinator, assists students with physical, psychological/psychiatric, and medical disabilities, and acts as a liaison between students, professors, and other administrators. Erin also provides assistance with issues regarding self-advocacy, refers students for tutoring, and assists students with the use of assistive technology on campus.
